God is Non-Binary

I live near the First Baptist Church in America. It is named after and founded by Roger Williams (like everything else in providence lol) who was banished from Massachusetts for speaking out against the confiscation of Native American Land and puritan laws about forced worship. 

I LOVE THIS CHURCH SIGN. I walk by it every day, and every day it makes me laugh or reflect or both. The first time I ever saw it was the day we moved here and it said “God is Non-Binary”, and it made me feel like maybe I was gonna be okay after all in Providence. 

I spent MONTHS wondering about the person behind the signs. Where did they come up with ideas? How do they organize them? Do they work alone? What does their workroom look like? 

Then one day, I found out!✨
